Oil Painting - “Mysterious Place”

Tools: Oil Painting on Canvas

Name: Mysterious Place

Size: 2 m x 0.8 m

Exhibition: Tanghu Museum of Art, 2016

I created this oil painting based on my dream. The person walking in the forest represents each of us living in the world, starting our journey from birth to death, and holding a book, "Truth of Life," trying to find our true passion or our “calling”. The wolves near the walking man represent the lures in our lives, tempting us to give up halfway. The mysterious forest in the upper-right corner of the painting represents our unknown future. I pose a question here: do we allow the fears of the unknown to frighten us from moving forward, or do we believe uncertainty is another form of beauty?
